Why Earning Money Should not be Your Real Life Purpose?

Not knowing Real Life Purpose

The borrower is slave to the lender.

– Proverbs 22:7

This is the part 3 of my 5-part series about finding purpose in life.

When you make money your Real Life Purpose, you become a slave to money.

The reason why earning money should never be your real purpose in life is because you will never make enough of money. You will keep looking for more, and the more you earn, the more expenses.

You will find yourself in the rat race if you make earning money your purpose in life. Whereby, all you do is wake up, and rush to work from 9-5 daily until you retire, without having any thought or determination to become independent someday. This means that you work for money all your life.

OK, I get it so what should be my Real Life Purpose then?

Real Life Purpose

Your purpose in life should be something of value, which is based on your passion.

Something you love doing freely and always happy to do all the time is your passion, which you should be chasing because, your passion is the purpose why you are here on earth, and you are meant to make your passion something of benefit to a human being.

“Focusing your life solely on making money shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. And it will leave you unfulfilled.” –Barack Obama

Bottom line

Don’t make earning more your purpose in life, let your purpose be something that will add value to the human race because that is the only way you will live on, long after you had gone.
