Anyway, let give thanks and praise to the lord, for his mercy endureth forever.

Here in this post, I want to share with you some productivity tips I found useful at that will help you to boost your brainpower, to become productive and achieve more in your place of work, this new year.

Because this year promise to be a prosperous and befitting year for you and me.

5o tips to Boost Your Brainpower                      


  1. Silence your phone
  2. Blackout background browser tabs/notifications.
  3. Mute your Gmail with inbox Pause.
  4. Clean your desk.
  5. Write distraction down for later.
  6. Save articles and videos in pocket
  7. Take regular breaks.
  8. Work in varied environments: coffee shops, parks, etc.
  9. Sit by a window

1o. smell something pleasant, like lemons or lavender

  1. Set the thermostat for 7-77 degrees.
  2. Go for a walk.
  3. Get plenty of sleep, exercise, and healthy food.
  4. Buy plants.
  5. Listen to ambient music.
  6. Look at photos of nature of cute animals.
  7. Meditate.


Save Time

  1. Quit meetings, or keep them to 15 min.
  2. Delegate!

2o. Track where your time goes.

  2. Automate tedious tasks.
  3. Batch similar tasks.
  4. Try a dictation app.
  5. Cut bad habits with a “Stop Doing” list.
  6. Quit multitasking.



  1. Sort tasks by “Must, Should, Want” every day.
  2. Don’t check your email until you’ve worked for 2 hours.

3o. Do your #1 most important task first.

  1. Write 3 “most important” tasks on a Post-it.
  2. “Will this task help me reach a goal?” No = cut it.
  3. “Can this only be done by me? Is it important?” Two No’s = cut it.
  4. Write tomorrow’s to-do list tonight.
  5. Use Stephen Covey’s prioritization matrix.
  6. Do creative work first.
  7. “Does this get me closer to my goal? Does it matter to my boss? Does it make money? Does it make my life easier? Does it have to be done today?” Sort todos based on # of Yeses.


Get Motivated

  1. Break big tasks into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Work on a big task for just 5 minutes.
  3. “Eat the frog”.
  4. Start a personal contract.
  5. If it takes less than 2 minutes, do it now.
  6. Find your biological prime time.
  7. Make progress visible and celebrate small wins.
  8. “Don’t break the chain”.
  9. Bribe yourself with reward.
  10. Strike a power pose.
  11. Keep a “Done” list.
  12. Eat chocolate.
